History
BYRT CPAS LLC was founded in Waycross in 2002 as a spinoff of the HH Burnet firm, which had been in business for over 100 years. Our founding partners had a vision to serve the small businesses of our region with quality accounting services and financial guidance. Since then, we have grown to four offices and expanded our staff significantly.
About our roots
Our Waycross headquarters is located in the building that once housed the legendary Green Frog Restaurant. Budding entrepreneur Bill Darden opened this restaurant in 1938 at the tender age of 19. A few years later, he went on to develop the Red Lobster franchise of seafood restaurants, setting the wheels in motion for what would become a global leader in full-service dining brands, Darden Restaurants.
Small town roots building to a global presence- that is what we strive to achieve here at BYRT just as Bill Darden did over 75 years ago.
